Zach and Anne are getting married in September and I am so excited and honored that they have chosen me to photograph their wedding. I fell in love with them the first time I met with them for their consultation. They are a great couple. We spent a beautiful Sunday at the historic FDR memorial and captured some awesome pictures for their engagement announcement. I confess, I haven’t been to this monument since I was a little girl. But Anne and Zach have and while we walked and found fun places for photos, they entertained me with stories about our former president and all of the special touches in the monument that really do tell the story of his presidency. Along for the ride were Anne and Zach’s adorable dogs Ari and Woodrow.  Fun fact: Woodrow was named after Woodrow Wilson. I don’t know about you, but I love that! Both are rescue dogs so you could expect that they would both be very shy and skittish. But you’d be wrong. Instead, they are the life of the party, attracting lots of attention because they are seriously adorable and they love every minute. People even came by to take photos of them. Anne and Zach tell me that it’s taken them some time to get to this point and I have no doubt in my mind that it’s because they feel truly loved by Anne and Zach. I’m guessing they can also feel the love shared by this great couple. When all is said and done, their favorite spot is next to Anne and Zach. The four of them make a perfect little family. It’s so nice to see two people who have found each other, rescued each other if you will. Watching the four of them makes me think that they have all rescued each other. They are full of trust, love and happiness and that’s pretty cool! September 2nd will be the start of  the next very happy chapter of their lives!
